Mountain Bike Colorado’s Best Single Track for a Great Cause

The Crest Crank Fundraiser is an annual one-day mountain biking event that raises funds for AADA through business sponsorships of the event and participant pledge collections.  Participants in the event are asked to either contribute a minimum amount for a registration fee or collect pledges totaling more than the registration fee.

On the day of the event participants arrive at Chipeta Park in Poncha Springs, Colorado and turn in their pledges or registration fees, receive a rider goody bag and an event t-shirt, have their bicycles inspected for safety, and take a shuttle to the top of Monarch Pass to begin the ride on the Monarch Crest Trail.  Riders traverse the 20+ mile trail and conclude their ride back at Chipeta Park, where a post-ride BBQ awaits them.  During the BBQ, riders have the opportunity to win donated raffle prizes.  A cruiser bike donated by a local bike shop is awarded to the participant that raised the most pledges!

Money donated to Crest Crank goes toward paying for all event-related expenses and then toward several agency budget items each year.
